The Zhan Xiang team has broken away from the traditional commercial planting model, opting for the more difficult method of manual weeding and using their own homemade natural fertilizers. This approach aims to keep the fruit trees and soil free from pesticide and carcinogen residues, as well as the damage caused by chemical herbicides and fertilizers. To ensure that each tree receives equal amounts of water and nutrients, Zhan Xiang has also invested heavily in installing an integrated water and fertilizer drip irrigation system in the orchard for precise irrigation.

A Hong Kong industrialist, having weathered many storms and witnessed the full spectrum of fame and fortune, decided in the latter half of his life to contribute to society by pursuing an environmentally friendly agricultural dream: providing the market with pollution-free, high-quality green food based on a sustainable development strategy. He tirelessly searched for pristine environments, eventually settling on nine mountain ridges totaling over 3,300 acres, where the fertile soil, clear waters, and clean air allowed him to establish the Zhan Xiang Orchard.
Starting from scratch, the Zhan Xiang Orchard team repeatedly experimented and refined their practices, gradually establishing the professional, large-scale, and modern ecological planting system they have today. This ensures that the fruit produced is free of pesticide and carcinogen residues. The team also adheres to its original intention, rejecting cheap and convenient chemical herbicides and fertilizers.
